GENERAL PURPOSES COMMITTEE OF ALDERMEN

 

(i) Emanuel Hospital: Lady Dacre Pension – 2016 Christmas Bonus

To consider, as Trustees of the Emanuel Hospital charity (206952), a recommendation of the General Purposes Committee of Aldermen to approve payment of the 2016 Christmas bonus (set at £150) to the Lady Dacre pensioners.

 

Resolved:- That the 2016 Christmas bonus of £150 be paid to the Lady Dacre pensioners from the Emanuel Hospital charitable funds.

 

(ii) Changes to the administration of the Sir William Coxen Trust Fund (206936) and proposed release of restrictions on the charity’s permanent endowment

To consider recommendations of the General Purposes Committee of Aldermen to amend and supplement the administrative arrangements provisions governing the Sir William Coxen Trust Fund and to release the restrictions on expenditure of part of the charity’s permanent endowment.

 

 Resolved: – That the Court of Aldermen -

 

(i) resolves to pass the resolution in the form at Appendix A of the Report pursuant to section 280 of the Charities Act 2011 to amend and supplement the administrative provisions governing the Sir William Coxen Trust Fund;

(ii) resolves to exercise their powers of delegation under clause 17A.3 of the charity’s revised governing provisions to confirm the members of the existing Management Committee, Aldermen Ian Luder, Sir Roger Gifford, Dame Fiona Woolf, Sir Alan Yarrow, Matthew Richardson, Michael Mainelli, with their consent, shall be appointed to a Committee to undertake the day-to-day management and administration of the charity until 31st March 2017;

(iii) resolves to exercise their powers under clause 17A.1.2 of the charity’s revised governing provisions to collectively retire as trustees with the retirement to take effect on 1st April 2017 noting that the General Purposes Committee have, in anticipation of these resolutions of the Court of Aldermen,
