Gresham College Council Appointments PDF 127 KB Report of the Town Clerk Minutes: The Committee considered a report of the Town Clerk asking Members to consider the appointment of representatives to the Gresham College Council. The Committee gave thanks to Deputy Tom Hoffman for his long and prodigious service on the College Council and Committees.
The Chairman then outlined the proposals set out; that John Scott be reappointed for his second term, and that Sheriff Christopher Hayward be appointed, in order that should he become Chairman of the Committee, he would subsequently be able to take up the role of Vice-Chair of the College Council.
Members were supportive of the proposals, stressing the vital importance of support from the City Side, which had been underrepresented at times on some of the College Committees. The Committee noted that any City Side Member could sit on appointment panels, which had relieved some of the College Council workload.
RESOLVED – That the Gresham (City Side) Committee appoint John Scott and Sheriff Christopher Hayward to the Gresham College Council, for four-year terms until 2024. |
