Report of the Director of Innovation & Growth.

The Committee considered a report of the Director of Innovation & Growth concerning the City Week 2020 event.

The Chair advised that she had instructed officers to produce an annual report which set out a coherent overview of the various conferences and events which the City Corporation engaged in. This would also include the various priority assessments for each. However, it was recognised that there would continue to be a case for considering some events on an ad hoc basis, given the need to be responsive to emerging opportunities and to continually assess the merits of ongoing involvement with others.

RESOLVED: That the allocation of £25,000 from the Committees 2020/21 Policy Initiatives Fund, categorised under ‘Events’ and charged to City’s Cash, be approved in order to finance the City Corporation’s sponsorship of the 10th City Week annual conference.
