The Minutes of the meeting held on 2 July 2012 were approved as a correct record.

 

Eligibility of Members to sit on the Committee/be Chairman (page 2) In response to a Member's question, the Town Clerk confirmed that whilst the Chairman of the Sub Committee would not need to be a communicant Member of the Church of England, this could prove difficult administratively, as a large part of the work of the Chairman is acting on behalf of the Sub Committee in the appointment of Vicars and in order to do this the Member would need to complete a form confirming that he or she was a communicant member of the Church of England. If necessary, the Sub Committee would need to appoint an alternative Member to act on its behalf in these matters.
