The draft of a Precept to the Masters, Prime wardens, Upper Bailiff and Wardens of the several Livery Companies requiring the attendance of the Livery on 24th June next for the election of Sheriffs and other Officers for the year ensuing and on 29th September next, for the election of a Lord Mayor of this City, for the year ensuing, was read, agreed to and ordered to be issued.

On the reference of 3rd December 2013 to examine and report on a petition of the Master, Wardens and Court Assistants of the Company of Art Scholars praying to be constituted a Livery Company of the City of London Corporation.

Minutes:

Company of Arts Scholars

A recommendation of the General Purposes Committee recommending that the Company of Arts Scholars be constituted a Livery Company of the City of London and that the prayer of the Petition be complied with, on the following conditions:

• That the number of the Livery should not exceed 300;

• That the fine for admission to the Livery should be not less than £400; and

• That no person shall be admitted to the Livery of the Company unless he or she first

produces his or her copy of the freedom of the City of London.

 

That as the proposed Constitution and Ordinances conform to the law and custom of the City, the Company of Arts Scholars be constituted a Livery Company of the City with the title “The Worshipful Company of Arts Scholars,” that the formal grant be embodied in Letters Patent under the Mayoralty Seal and that the proposed Constitution and Ordinances be approved and enrolled among the records of the Court of Aldermen as the 110th Livery Company of the City.
