Report of the Director of Culture, Heritage and Libraries.

The Committee considered a report of the Director of Culture, Heritage and Libraries which provided information of the key findings of a monitoring and evaluation report, undertaken by the Audience Agency, following the series of events to commemorate the 350^th anniversary of the Great Fire of London.

The Director of Culture, Heritage and Libraries explained that only a small proportion of funding had been raised from City businesses. The feedback which had been received from businesses was that the City Corporation had sufficient funding to provide events such as this, without requiring private funding from businesses.

RESOLVED – That the Committee notes the report.
