Proposed Merger:- United Westminster Schools (UWS) and the Grey Coat Hospital Foundation

Resolved:-That, following consideration by the General Purposes Committee of Aldermen, this Court agrees with the recommendations that:

(i) a letter of support for the proposed merger be sent by the Town Clerk on behalf of the Court of Aldermen to United Westminster Schools and The Grey Coat Hospital foundation; and

(ii) the letter confirm that the court of Aldermen and the City Corporation gives its content to the proposals subject to the Court retaining the right of one appointment to the new Board of trustees and being consulted over the drafting of the new governing document (anticipated to be Articles of Association of a new charitable company.)
