Marianne Fredericks was elected to the Court in 2008 having previously been involved in various community activities. As a co-founder of ‘Civilians Remembered’, she successfully campaigned for and won a planning inquiry, securing a Memorial Park on the Wapping riverside. Marianne, a mother of four, has a great interest in education and in performing arts. In the City Marianne is Chairman of the Licensing Committee and the Streets and Walkways Sub-Committee, Deputy Chairman of the Planning and Transportation Committee and a member of several other committees including Policy and Resources, Community and Children’s Services, City Bridge Trust, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and Port Health and Environmental Services.
