Shahnan Bakth

Shahnan is a seasoned finance professional with a keen interest in markets, regulation and risk management. He has had a multi-disciplinary and successful career in banking for over 16 years at some of the world's largest financial institutions in the US and Europe.
As a Risk Specialist, he navigated the Great Financial Crisis, Eurozone Debt Crisis and Brexit Referendum for some of the world's largest banks with a focus on stress testing in highly complex banking and trading books.

Since then, Shahnan has been responsible for cross-asset distribution at one of Europe's largest banking institutions, structuring complex financings for Asset Managers, Corporate and Local Authority Pension Funds in the UK, Hedge Funds and Private Equity / Private Credit funds.

His clients span the C-Suite across the world's largest financial institutions.

Shahnan also takes a keen interest in the environment around him. He is an elected member of the Common Council in the Broad Street Ward.
