Simon was elected as Alderman for Langbourn in November 2023. He is the CEO and Managing Partner of Findlay Park, an independent asset manager focused on investing in North American companies. Previous roles include Chief Investment Officer and Head of Private Wealth at the global multi-asset investment firm Newton.
Simon has spent many years researching and investing in global banks and insurance companies, a particular interest is the evolution of regulation and how it impacts financial market participants.
His non-executive appointments include acting as a trustee of the Courtauld Gallery’s art collection.
