Agenda and draft minutes

Apologies were received from Chris Hayward and Ann Holmes.

The Town Clerk noted that the meeting was inquorate and therefore a note of the meeting would be submitted to the next meeting of the Education Board, rather than formal minutes. Members present were welcome to discuss items on the agenda but no decisions could be taken.

There were no declarations.

To approve the minutes of the meeting held on 29 November 2016.

The minutes of the meeting held on 29 November 2016 were received. The Chairman noted they would be submitted to the next quorate meeting of the Sub-Committee for approval.

To review the terms of reference of the Nominations Sub (Education Board) Committee.

Members considered the Sub-Committee’s terms of reference. The Chairman noted that his decision to not take up his role as Company Member and Trustee of the City of London Academies Trust due to his existing role with the Mossbourne Federation meant that the Sub-Committee had the opportunity to suggest to the Education Board that the Sub-Committee’s terms of reference should be adjusted to include the consideration and nomination of any appointments to educational outside bodies that did not fall within the jurisdiction of the City’s Outside Bodies Sub (Policy and Resources) Committee.

There were no questions.

There was no other business.

MOTION – that under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part I of Schedule 12A of the Act.
