Agenda and minutes

Apologies were received from Vivienne Littlechild.

The Academic Registrar declared an interest in respect of agenda item 10, ‘Enhanced clerking arrangements for the Board of Governors and its sub-committees’.

To agree the public minutes of the meeting held on 24th February 2017.

The public minutes of the meeting held on 24 February 2017 were considered and approved as a correct record, subject to the following amendments.

·         Within the Officers’ attendance list, the word Principle should be amended to read Principal.

·         On the ‘In attendance’ list, ‘Tom Steel’ should be amended to read: ‘Tom Steer’.

·         The following Officers were present but not shown as in attendance:  Comptroller & City Solicitor and the Director of Human Resources.

The Chairman noted that Professor Geoff Crossick had been invited to attend meetings until such time he could be formally appointed to the Committee.  Due to an oversight he had not been invited to this meeting. His appointment would be discussed at the Board of Governors meeting on 3 July.

There were no urgent items for discussion.

MOTION - That under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part I of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act.

RESOLVED – That under Section 100(A) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part I of the Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act.
