Reports: General Purposes Committee of Aldermen

Minutes:

(i)            The Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners’ Second Schedule to its Royal Charter of Incorporation, concerning the operation of its Register of Chartered Practitioners

 

The Court of Aldermen considered a recommendation of the General Purposes Committee of Aldermen, following earlier consideration of a recommendation of the Magistracy and Livery Sub-Committee.

 

Resolved:- That the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners’ Second Schedule to its Royal Charter of Incorporation, concerning the operation of its Register of Chartered Practitioners, be approved.

 

(ii)          The Worshipful Company of Security Professionals’ Second Schedule to its Royal Charter of Incorporation

 

The Court of Aldermen considered a recommendation of the General Purposes Committee of Aldermen, following earlier consideration of a recommendation of the Magistracy and Livery Sub-Committee.

 

Resolved:- That the Worshipful Company of Security Professionals’ Second Schedule to its Royal Charter of Incorporation be approved.

 

(iii)         Revisions to the Court of Aldermen’s Terms of Reference

 

The Court of Aldermen considered a recommendation of the General Purposes Committee of Aldermen following earlier consideration of a number of proposed revisions to the Court’s Terms of Reference, which were intended to better reflect the remit of the Court of Aldermen in respect of its charitable and wider activities.

 

Resolved:- That the proposed revisions, as recommended by the General Purposes Committee of Aldermen, be approved.

 

(iv)         Openness and Transparency

 

The Court was advised, by the Chairman of the General Purposes Committee of Aldermen, that the matter of openness and transparency in respect of the Court’s business had been considered over recent weeks. A working group of Aldermen had been reviewing different options since the New Year and recommendations thereon were currently expected to come forward in due course and for changes to be implemented in the new municipal year.
