Report: General Purposes Committee of Aldermen

Minutes:

Petition of the Company of Nurses for Company with Livery Status

The Court of Aldermen considered a recommendation of the General Purposes Committee of Aldermen relative to the petition of the Company of Nurses for Company with Livery Status.

The General Purposes Committee had noted the resolutions of the Magistracy and Livery Sub Committee concerning the petition of the Company of Nurses to be constituted as a Livery Company of the City of London, and after some debate had agreed to bring forward the Company of Nurses’ petition for final approval at its meeting of May 2024. The Chairman of the General Purposes Committee now therefore asked that this Court note the same and also agree to bring forward the petition for final approval and facilitate the Company of Nurses designation as the 111th Livery Company at its meeting of May 2023.

Resolved Unanimously: - That the Court of Aldermen support the bringing forward of the Company of Nurses petition for Company with Livery status for final consideration at their May 2023 meeting.
