Joint report of the Town Clerk and Commissioner. Minutes: Members considered a joint report of the Town Clerk and Commissioner regarding public references from previous meetings and the following points were made.
1/2017/P – Fraudulent Cryptocurrencies/Search ‘hits’ for City of London Police and Fraud
· The Detective Chief Superintendent confirmed that this reference would be closed ahead of the next meeting, with email confirmation being issued to Members in the meantime once this had been achieved.
RESOLVED, that the report be received.

Any other business that the Chairman considers urgent Minutes: Action Know Fraud in the Media The Detective Chief Superintendent was heard regarding reports in the media in August 2019 regarding the behaviour of Action Fraud call centre staff. The Detective Chief Superintendent noted that the Force had been proactively managing the situation, and that Concentrix, the call centre provider, had initaited their own investigation which would likely result in disciplinary action, and IBM had similarly put in place mitigation measures to ensure call centre performance was fit for purpose. Lastly, the Detective Chief Superintendent referenced the recently announced Mackey Review of Action Fraud, commissioned by the City of London Police Authority and City of London Police. |
