The Barbican Centre Board is
responsible for the activities and services of the Barbican Centre,
Europe’s largest Arts Centre. The Barbican Centre was founded
by the City of London Corporation, itself the third largest sponsor
of the arts in the UK. Today, the City of London remains the
principal funder of the Barbican Centre and the activities which
take place within and without its walls. The Centre offers a range
of events to suit every taste - cinema, theatre, opera, classical
music, art exhibitions, a library and is a leader in the field of
creative learning.
