The City of London protects
and manages, by charitable trust, almost 11,000 acres of open
spaces within and around the capital for the benefit of local
communities and visitors.Queen’s Park is a 29 acre park managed by
the City of London and has been open to the public since 1887.
Facilities include six all-weather tennis courts, a pitch and putt
course, a pétanque pitch, an ornamental garden, a children's
playground with paddling pool, a small zoo and a café. The
Queen’s Park Joint Consultative Group provides a forum for
local residents and users to comment upon the management of the
Park.
