For Decision

(B)        To report action taken in approving applications for the Freedom of the City of London under urgency procedures on behalf of the Court of Common Council, as there was insufficient time for the Court approval to be obtained in the usual way, for the following 23 members of the England Women's Football Team (together with the Head Coach), all being nominated by the Rt Hon. Support for this nomination was agreed in principle by the Freedom Applications Sub-Committee at its meeting on 21 July 2022, and final approval was sought under urgency as it was considered desirable to allow for an announcement to be made immediately following the team’s success at the final match of the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 football tournament.
