The Committee received a report of the
Executive Director, Community & Children’s Services
concerning an updated DCCS handbook which sets out the work of the
Department, key statistics and relevant financial information.
The following points were noted:

the updates to the Department of Community and Children's Services
(DCCS) Handbook, highlighting the importance of keeping the
handbook current and relevant to support the department's
operations and services.
- It was noted that the handbook would
serve as a comprehensive guide for staff, outlining policies,
procedures, and best practices within the department.
- Officers outlined the latest updates
include revisions to existing policies, the introduction of new
procedures, and the incorporation of feedback from staff to ensure
the handbook remains practical and user-friendly.
- Members noted that the updated
handbook will be distributed to all staff, with training sessions
planned to ensure everyone is familiar with the changes and how to
apply them in their daily work.
