Report of the Health & Wellbeing Officer.

Members of the Board were informed that the Government introduced local accounts otherwise known as annual reports in 2011 to help residents see how well local adult social care services were being delivered and what needed to improve in their area. Officers presented the City of London Corporation’s Adult Social Care Annual Report 2014/15 to be published by the Department of Children’s and Community Services.

Board Members noted the aim of the annual report is to give an account of the work in the last financial year and priorities for the future, and in doing so to be accountable and transparent. The production of these reports is voluntary and not a statutory requirement. In response to a query, Board Members were informed that this report would be circulated to the Community and Children’s Services Committee for their consideration in due course.

Resolved – that the City of London’s Adult Social Care Annual Report be approved.
