Report of the Director of Community & Children’s Services.

The Committee noted the development of the draft City of London Joint Health and

Wellbeing Strategy, which was required of local authorities by the Health and Social

Care Act 2012.

The draft strategy set out the City of London Health and Wellbeing Board’s

commitment to improving the health of City residents, workers and rough sleepers.

The proposed priorities were;

· Priority 1: Good mental health for all

· Priority 2: A healthy urban environment

· Priority 3: Effective health and social care integration

· Priority 4: Children have the best start in life

· Priority 5: Promoting healthy behaviours.

Board Members agreed that the strategy should be sent to all Members of the Court of Common Council with a covering note from the Chairman to ensure that all Members were sighted on the City’s Health and Wellbeing Strategy.

Resolved – that Members endorsed the report for public consultation.
