QUESTIONS ON MATTERS RELATING TO THE WORK OF THE COMMITTEE Minutes: The Chief Commoner, Deputy Brian Mooney, made reference to the recent coup in Myanmar and enquired whether the Chairman had reflected on the revocation of the Freedom of the City previously bestowed upon Aung San Suu Kyi. The Chairman, in response, noted that this was a military coup and Ms Suu Kyi was now under arrest; in terms of reflections, the Chairman commented that a clearer perspective in terms of rights and wrongs could sometimes only be provided via the path of history.
