Elected to the Court of Aldermen in 2022, Christopher Makin is committed to ensuring that the City residents’ voices are heard clearly within Guildhall.
Christopher is passionate about the Barbican Estate, where he lives, and has spent years advocating on behalf of residents. He is a member of the Barbican Association (past Honorary Secretary and Elected Member); Deputy Chair of the Barbican Residents’ Consultation Committee; various working parties and Chair of his House Group. He is also President of the Aldersgate Ward Club.
A lifelong Londoner who spent his career in financial services, Christopher enjoys living in the historic heart of the capital.
