Irem brings decades of risk and insurance industry experience and have been working at major risk advisory firms across the topics Reinsurance, Alternative Risk Transfer Solutions, Risk Management Strategy, ESG and Climate Change. Irem is an experienced, forward-thinking leader with excellent educational background, as well as strong track record on business growth and international relationships. Based in the City, currently Irem is Partner of the largest global sustainability consultancy, advising global organisations from variety of sectors as well as sovereigns on how to manage their climate-related risks and opportunities to achieve an orderly transition to low carbon economy. Irem is involved in City of London Corporation’s Climate Action Strategy, implementation of it at Ward level and raising awareness within the Livery companies.

Having held senior positions, Irem managed and coordinated multifaceted programmes worth several millions, globally involving many people at a time. This brings the ability of liaising and engaging with variety of internal & external stakeholders in a collaborative way to drive results. Irem is a regular speaker at conferences and roundtables, recognised by various industry bodies and associations.

Irem was awarded ‘Freedom of the City of London’ in 2018 as part of 100Women initiative, a recognition of promoting excellence within the City. She is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Insurers.
